Foot Guiding.
$1190 per day
(for up to 2 clients, additional clients by arrangement only)
Foot guiding is an excellent technique for stealthily pursuing fish while navigating through rivers and streams, whether in serene lowlands or rugged wilderness. At GO FISH KIWI, we have dedicated years to understanding the waters we guide, ensuring an insightful experience for our clients.
Many of our clients choose a unique blend of foot guiding, rafting, and helicopter fishing for a truly diverse adventure. We provide extensive on-river instruction and leverage our expertise to help you sharpen your skills and enhance your angling abilities.
A typical day starts with a pick up from your accomodation. We then drive to the chosen river and rig up, ready to fish. The day is around 8-10 hours on the water.
Raft Guiding.
$1,450 per day
(for up to 2 clients, additional clients by arrangement only)
We run excellent rafts with top notch safety equipment. Our rafting operation is independently safety audited through Mohaka Rafting. GLENN YOUR GUIDE is grade 3 qualified and has more than 10 years rafting experience.
We provide helmets, PFD’s for your added safety. Rafting is known as an Adventure Activity and as such has a degree of risk. Please discuss this at the time of booking. Almost all sections of rivers we raft fish are only grade 1/2.
There are a large number of rivers that we can raft fish (see the rivers page). Our clients love the access that we gain by using rafts. Many kilometres can be covered in a day, fishing the most productive water and floating the non productive water.
We use an oar rig so that our clients can sit back and relax and save their energy for fishing.

Overnight Camping.

For a truly epic adventure, consider adding an overnight campout to your already incredible fishing experience. While our campouts typically utilise comfortable tents, we also have access to charming backcountry huts in select locations.
Immerse yourself in the serenity of the New Zealand forest as night falls. Take in the mesmerising beauty around you while gazing at a star-studded sky from the warmth of a crackling fire. We can provide all necessary camping gear to ensure your comfort throughout the trip.
On certain rivers, we also offer helicopter drop-offs for your equipment, allowing you to lighten your load and focus on enjoying the fishing and the great outdoors.

Cancellation Policy
Cancelled bookings are extremely difficult to fill at short notice. My season of fly fishing is my living so I need to cover myself for lost days through cancellation outside of my control. Late cancellations are a significant burden on any small business.
*I recommend travel insurance as an absolute essential to cover you if this unfortunate situation presents itself*
· Cancellations greater than 60 days from the trip dates will result in the loss of the deposit. (See our refund policy).
· Cancellations within 60 days of fishing dates will incur a 50% trip cost cancellation fee to all fishing days booked, unless a replacement angler can be found.
· Cancellations within 30 days of fishing dates will incur a 100% trip cost cancellation fee to all fishing days booked, unless a replacement angler can be found.
· Any cancellations will also incur any booked accommodation costs or deposits required by any providers, if booked through Go Fish Kiwi.
Refund Policy
· Any cancellation due to extreme weather conditions will be determined by the guide and only when the safety of the client is at risk. In these rare cases, the entire guiding deposit will be held to reserve rescheduled trip dates. If an alternative trip cannot be arranged, a full refund of the guiding deposit will be made.
· Go Fish Kiwi accepts no liability for loss of any gear which is broken during a trip. You also agree to release Glenn Beach and Beach Adventures LTD, trading as Go Fish Kiwi from all liability and to indemnify Glenn Beach and Beach Adventures LTD, trading as Go Fish Kiwi, against any liability incurred, resulting from the failure by you or any other member of your fishing party, to follow our instructions.
Payment
· Go Fish Kiwi requires a non refundable deposit of $400 per individual fishing day booked to confirm your trip.
· No booking is confirmed until the deposit has been received. Your fishing dates will be held for a 14 day period, pending the payment of the deposit. If the deposit has not been received then your dates will be open for reservation by other anglers requesting those dates.
· Payment can be made via direct credit, cash, wire transfer or PayPal.
· The daily guide rate is set at NZD$1180.00 including NZ GST (Goods and Services Tax - 15%) for up to 2 anglers, foot guided, local for the 2025-2026 season. Other guide rates can be found on the pricing page of the Go Fish Kiwi website.
NB: No fishing days are secure until a deposit has been paid upon request.
· Full payment of guide fees and any extra client costs are required before the completion of the trip.
· If staying away from my base, all client and guides accommodation, meals and extra vehicle costs may be charged before the completion of the trip.
· All Helicopter flights may vary in price due to flight time with wind, weather changes and last minute decisions for safety/logistical reasons.
